As we discussed above, your vehicle's exposed surfaces should be maintained at regular scheduled intervals the same way you would treat changing your oil, rotating your tires, or changing your break pads.

Ensuring that these exposed surfaces are cleaned, decontaminated, and overall maintained is the predominate driving factor in maintaining your vehicle's value. 

If you plan to ever sell your vehicle in the future, wouldn't it make sense to maintain the exposed surfaces so that you could command a higher price?

If you plan to keep your vehicle forever, doesn't it make sense to maintain these surfaces to enhance your personal driving experience? (Unless, of course, you enjoy driving around in a dirty car...)
